Meet our speaker ✨ We are thrilled to introduce Abdullahi Osman @AbdullahiNOsman our speaker of the Somali CEOs Summit, “Leader Creating Leaders.” Abdullahi Osman is the CEO of Hormuud Salaam Foundation, the corporate foundation of Hormuud Telecom and Salaam Somali Bank, and the first corporate foundation in Somali history. He also serves as a Board Member of the Heritage Institute for Policy Studies and is a member of the Somali National Drought Committee appointed by the Somali Government. Additionally, Abdullahi is the Chair of the Board of Directors at Banadir Mother and Child Hospital in Mogadishu. He has previously served as a member of the Somali National Committee for Covid-19 response, where he led the Hormuud Salaam Foundation’s efforts to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 on Somalia. Abdullahi was the founder and first director of the Queen’s Award-winning Somali Advice and Development Centre in London, UK. He has also served as the Secretary General of the Somali Business and Investment Council based in Djibouti, and the Secretary General of the Senior Somali Business Advisory Council for the PPD. His past roles include Chair of the Governing Body at Dormers Wells Junior School in London, Independent Advisor to the Metropolitan Police in Ealing, London, Mentor at the Young Offenders Institution in London for young Somali offenders, member of the Board of Directors at Southall Community Alliance, and member of the Ealing Local Strategic Partnership and the Ealing Young People Strategic Partnership. Abdullahi is an active speaker and panelist at various national and international conferences and platforms. He is well connected within the Somali community both in Somalia and the diaspora.
