The backlash is because of the crime. The car theft rings, the Air Canada gold heist, the shooting of up rivals houses, the fraud in trucking, the dumping of garbage everywhere (and they be caught so it's known who is doing it), polluting our waters, sexual assaults on woman...it goes on and on. Worse, is the justice system is soft so their immigration won't be compromised and that is just flat out wrong. People are upset of the disrespect to the laws and land. It was never a problem because the people that came here decades ago didn't do those things.
Do you know the Liberal gov't wiped the criminal records of 17,500 immigrants so they could start a new life in Canada. We have no idea who they are or where they are. That's just wrong. So people have a reason to be upset.
