Watched episode 1 of Netflix's Little House on the Prairie. 5/10. The bones are there, but bad CGI wolves keep yanking you out of an otherwise grounded frontier setting, and the pacing drags through a lot of slow melodrama. They even threw in a dog-in-peril beat straight out of every prestige drama's playbook. Good news: the woke stuff everyone warned about (the feminism, the marriage deconstruction, the "white settlers bad" framing) isn't in episode 1. Bad news: I'm told it's coming. Showrunner's other credit is The Boys, so draw your own conclusions. Anyone else watching this one, or are you waiting to see if it holds up?
