This clip is from L. Brent Bozell's Senate confirmation hearing for U.S. Ambassador to South Africa last year. Bozell has a history of supporting apartheid-era policies. Through NCPAC, he actively opposed anti-apartheid measures, including U.S. sanctions against the apartheid government. He framed the struggle as a communist threat rather than a fight against racial oppression. In this clip, he pushes the already-debunked "white genocide" narrative in South Africa and supports special refugee status just for them. When senators asked if it's okay to have a WHITES-ONLY refugee policy, he REFUSED to say it's wrong. He also refused to share his views on whether it is right or wrong to reinstitute laws that allow only white people to vote. He described South Africa's leadership of the case against Israel at the ICJ as "an injustice," promising it would be a "top priority" to address if confirmed. He vowed to tell SA that they find it "intolerable". Additionally, he criticized South Africa's "unnecessary" ties with Iran (calling it a dangerous direction) and pledged to reinforce the "ironclad" U.S.-Israel alliance as they are their biggest friend. This apartheid apologist is now representing America in South Africa. None of what he recently said about SA is shocking.
