Worried about the upcoming Bitcoin fork(s) in August 2026 - especially the BIP-110 soft fork? If so, stay calm - the support for it falls below 1%. Low support for BIP-110 means the proposed soft fork will almost certainly fails. So, no split, no changes to main Bitcoin. What will actually happen in August: Most likely the main bitcoin:native chain continues normally. Self-custody? You control everything (and get any fork coins if a real hard fork happens). Exchanges? They will likely to stick with main BTC. Why shouldn't they? Bottom line: Peace of mind. Bitcoin stays strong. ---- What is BIP-110, anyway? It's a proposed 1-year temporary soft fork to limit big non-money data (like Ordinals inscriptions, big OP_RETURN spam) on Bitcoin's blockchain. The goal: To reduce "spam," lower node costs, keep Bitcoin focused on money not data storage. How-to: Caps data sizes in transactions via consensus rules. NFA/DYOR
