Singlehood as a black deaf woman is politically radicalized & judged but it is MY joy & happiness! I ain’t finna let nobody snatch my personhood again. At 34, I accepted my singlehood and will be okay if it’s gonna be long than a year. I love my freedom.. respectfully 😊

I cut off what’s left of my hair that hasn’t fallen out due to chemotherapy myself, and it was so jarring. Having cancer again is finally starting to feel real, but I know I will survive this. ♥️💇🏿‍♀️💪🏿

I will never be this progressive. I’m sorry. Spending money a man (meaning a man depending on you for that), taking care of a man, proposing to a man, or anything that’s not of God will ever sit right in my spirit. It’s against my religion.

Let me explain something to everyone: people’s accommodations are not up for debate. if we say we need something. that’s it. end of discussion. those are PART of us, part of who we are. you too need those to be with us. We are the expert on our lives.

@Olas_Truth I also want to add this is somewhat a bad representation regarding Deaf women especially in this video when it comes to isolation & language barriers. He shows the posters w/ different words & not sign a damn thing. If he did sign, then perhaps this would encourage differently.
