This morning I have finally closed the Gold short I took on 3rd March. It’s been the biggest trade of my career. I want to thank everyone in EFL who sat through it with me and had to listen to me talking about it incessantly. As I said at the time, I was a long way outside my comfort zone. I’ve made tens of thousands of trades across 25 years. I’m in at one level and out at the next. I’ve held something like this only a handful of times. I should feel elated. And part of me does. But I’ve spent the last three days writing my book and reliving a lot of painful times. This morning I’m too numb to feel what I probably should. That’s trading. That’s life.

@AllenTrades @Trader_Dante It is a fundamental truth that we make money by not losing it. Jim Rogers' following quote fits here: "I just wait until there is money lying in the corner, and all I have to do is go over there and pick it up. I do nothing in the meantime." It's hard to argue with that.

I can’t believe the month is almost over! I hope you ledges enjoyed it and learnt, among other things: how to still trade when half blind, absolutely spank the AUDUSD and read 18 other markets every day like a well loved book…even at times when the conditions are “suboptimal” 🤣

@Trader_Dante Nope, I watched the recording this morning. I see the 1H bullish Engulfing, but the next candles were a ShootingStar and a thrust in DD that closes below 155.64 Daily level too, wouldn't that get you out on the potential Long at the 1H lhpb of Engulfing?

When you call a trade in fixed income to EFL, buy the low but told them never to try offering it out a tick beyond highs in Eurex...and you're still offered a tick beyond the highs anyway

@Trader_Dante Did you entered at 128.36 on 1h lhpb? Because Frankfurt open didn'open above .40 sticky point, so i waited for a clean break-up, but market did just chop untill usRetail Sales.

@Trader_Dante @ymdarq Even though it was close to entry just before the rate announcement? Isn’t that a disaster waiting to happen if there was a surprise rate change. The fill happened right on the news.

Ended up not taking this trade yesterday because of FOMC, placed my bid in 5minutes after 09:30pm CAT . @Trader_Dante was I a cunt or I made the right decision?

@MeharBhogal @Trader_Dante GU Weekly is in the middle of chop and, most important, Engulf does not have clear target like the multiples lows on AU. It's not an A+ with an inviting target.

Why pull $GBPUSD when you didn't pull $AUDUSD on Monday @Trader_Dante ? Both great levels with higher tf context. GU having the weekly engulf and daily SS. If anything, AU had worse FTAs building.
