We have a question for you! We could use your help if you’re willing😊 You may have noticed we’ve been posting a few older projects as reels/shorts. We are doing that just in case you missed them but also in the hopes it’ll catch new folks attention & bring them into our online family. If you’ve been with us awhile you may know we’ve been through all sorts of things over the last several years. Lots of ups & downs. We are so grateful you have stuck with us. It’s been a joy to have the spark & excitement for content creation be relit in us. We have so many ideas! One of our weakest points in the past has been our ability to package what we do in a way new folks can find & get curious about our homestead. We are upping our game & creating short form content that can focus on that along with our long form content continuing projects around the homestead. Our regular 20 minute+ videos will continue like normal! This is additional content 😊 That leads us to a question for you! Do you have any questions about projects or things on our homestead that you’d like to know or have a follow up on? We are going to do an update on our duck pond for example & we’ll be highlighting a question someone asked about it. We have a recipe we’d like to share with you! One of Jazper’s favorite treats is Grandma’s sugar free goats milk chocolate ice cream! We wanted to share the recipe with you just in case you’d like to make this yummy dessert😊 It’s sugar free but that doesn’t mean it’s not sweet & delicious! We use coconut sugar which does not taste like coconut if you’re unfamiliar with it. Its gentle sweetness pairs beautifully with cacao powder for a rich chocolate taste. It’s one of our favorite flavors & has the added benefit of being healthy! Recipe: Makes 2 quarts of Ice Cream. 1 Cup of Coconut Sugar 1/2 Cup Cacao Powder (or Cocoa Powder) 1 tsp of Vanilla A splash of Heavy Whipping Cream Goats milk (or any milk) Take the coconut sugar, cacao powder, splash of whipping cream, vanilla & pour them into a blender with some milk. Mix well. Then pour everything into your 2 quart ice cream maker. Pour the rest of the needed milk into the blender & mix again to insure you get all the good stuff! Allow the ice cream maker to complete its job then feast! Enjoyed best when only a few folks are at home. A bigger bowl can be enjoyed lol Let us know if you make it! It's another beautiful day for some building! This time we tackle the fireplace design & finally lock in the perfect spot for it by pouring the foundation! The hives are producing & the honey is flowing! Bryson is tickled pink with his first harvest of the year. The guys have been experimenting with FlowHives & are quite pleased with how easy the process is. We can’t wait for our next harvest! It’s alpaca sheering day on the homestead! We are giving all five a haircut. It’s the two babies first time & they are doing great. We are stoked to have more wool to work with! We are hoping to put some of it in an earthen floor down the road along with other projects. Thanks for all the love on last Friday’s video!
