@ParadiceOf @colourblindorg Thermometers, thermometers, thermometers! I love to cook and rely heavily on so many types! Online recipes are your friend when it comes to internal temps for chicken, and for roasts I use a Meater, which is a great tool for knowing when when resting is done.

@colourblindorg A question for you and your followers! My son is red-green colorblind and LOVES to cook. But he can't determine the difference between raw and cooked chicken! Besides cooking it to a proper internal temperature and feeling the texture, what are other ways to tell?

@kmi_edu @Mr_L_edu I was tested and couldn’t see the numbers, but the teacher thought I was either stupid or deliberately making it up. I finally discovered I was colourblind 7 years later Would it surprise you to hear she was a nun? 😶

@kmi_edu @tweety_time_now @MySightCVDSim Thank you! Sadly I have passed my colour blind gene to both my boys and greens browns are particularly difficult and have led to them being mocked in art by class.

@kmi_edu The hardest part, from a parent's perspective is you say "oh, you mean green?" but your child doesn't know what you mean

@kmi_edu The good news is the majority of traffic lights in Europe choose a green that's almost white, when compared to red But the middle colour, yeah, bit of a problem
