Honestly wish the Czech would have won his final game against Japan. This man was already a legend for the last wbc, but his performance this time around especially against Japan cemented him as one of the GOATs of this tournament

Cards should celebrate players, not their laundry. The dual card is 60% logoman with small autos and even smaller player pics, along with a thick border that takes away more than it adds. Fine concept, but unfortunate implementation and lazy card design. The crooked ¹/1 and the missing patch corner certainly don't help.

More star power… but less value? 🤔 The Ohtani / Judge Dual MVP Gold Logoman Auto 1/1 just sold for $2.16M 💰 Meanwhile, Ohtani’s solo Logoman did $3M back in December. So why did adding Judge lower the price? It seems collectors don’t just buy names, they buy focus. Every Ohtani collector wants Ohtani… fewer want to share the card. Sometimes, less really is more I guess 👀

While not as rare as the Gold Foil /50, the 2013 BBM SCM #206 is widely-regarded as his very first card - and fewer than 200 examples have been graded by PSA. It's a cheaper, yet more iconic Rookie Edition version than card #42. (pic added for reference, it's not currently for sale).

Before the MLB hype, Ohtani was already a star in Japan. This 2013 BBM Rookie Edition Gold Foil Facsimile Shohei Ohtani /50 (PSA 10) is at $46,000 on @FanaticsCollect, and extended bidding ends TONIGHT. From one of the very first sets Ohtani ever appeared in, this copy is one of just EIGHT PSA 10s in existence. I know many of you could use a card like this one 🔥

The early BBM cards aren't just older, they're more culturally relevant to the subject - which adds global appeal. And they also provide an alternative to cards of him in a uniform for a team (Angels) which largely did nothing to add to his legacy. Now, if someone would buy the 2013 BBM Ohtani #WB2 I have listed on eBay, that would be great. Thanks.

The only item I won in the Christie’s Jim Irsay auction. The fake pack of Marlboros that a KGB agent used to record conversations. To start recording, the cigarette would be moved in a certain way. Irsay bought it when the KGB Museum closed down.

@gurucollects @FanaticsCollect What are we doing when the images of players on cards is given the lesser amount of real estate than non-game-specific laundry? A Leaf-style Polaroid of the two of them after an epic matchup with dual autos would be infinitely cooler than this trash. And the ¹/1 is crooked 😂

⚾️ JUST SOLD ⚾️ This 2018 Bowman Chrome Shohei Ohtani Rookie Card Jersey Numbered 17/25 just sold privately for $700,000. Wyverns_Sports_Cards (IG) was quoted by Card Ladder saying, “We are proud to announce the successful completion of a historic $700,000 private transaction for this Shohei Ohtani card.” This is Ohtani’s third-highest public sale recorded. Good buy?
