🧵 A big problem Arsenal have is in the first phase build up from the back. It is because we have our midfielders dropping out and in front of the opponent's block. Below is an example. This creates an issue where we allow one opposing player mark two players (Zubi & Gabriel)

@hiltspriv_ It’s different when a team hasn’t done it before or for so long. some people prayed they’d stay alive until they have seen their team win the league, I would say it has a poisitive effect on their life. People that have really cared about their team will remember the moment.

@user84848384 Look at 3:56 Why can’t Saliba play that central cb position more instead of Rice and have Rice above Saliba? With Mosquera in the lineup it makes sense since you’d have him play as the RCB instead of the RCM position Ben white played in and leave Odegaard in that RCM position.

@lawson_nash1 @rhas202 Detroit is a one man army with Tobias Harris as their RJ. Guarding Cade will be tough and Im not sure anyone on the Cavs can guard him. He can beat players off the dribble and force defenses to collapse. But their bench is pretty thin, so you should be able to feast in those mins

@rhas202 Feel the same way. Scottie is basically Cade with less ball handling but way better defense. Pistons don’t have an RJ Barrett/2nd/3rd shot creator, and they’re lot worse shooters. Shot the worst from 3 of all teams in the first round and 7% worse than the Raps.

@DiffKnock Would’ve switched White and Trossard’s position. Felt like Trossard never got dispossessed even when he held on to the ball slightly long and had great success on the wing.

He needs to come deeper to receive the ball short to attack the defender 1v1 or bait out the defender to make a run. And when he receives the ball he must be direct otherwise a help defender will arrive and double on him forcing the ball backwards and resetting the play.

The example below shows Martinelli on the same line as the defender. This makes it hard for the ball to get to him as it circulates to the left side.

I would like to see Arsenal moving forward switch the play quicker when in possession to get into 1v1 scenarios. But a major part of switching the play is having your wingers available to receive the ball with space and attacking their defender quickly and directly.
