Gooood Morning Chicago!! Happy Tuesdays Bears fans!! Hope everyone had an amazing memorial day weekend. We are not back on the grind!! Busy day for custodial crew. We are here early and making sure this place is spotless for OTAs which begins tomorrow!! Going to be a lot of fun. First big workouts with the whole team. Let me know if there is anything to you want me to watch for. If the Knicks can make the finals for the first time in 30 years, Bulls can make the magic happen too. Cubs ? Not even sure what to say about those guys. Do whatever it takes to stop the funk. Happy Birthday to former Bears - Mark Anderson, Daniel Brown, Nick Kwiatkowski!! Can’t we do better… for Dixie and all the others? I was leaving the dollar store today when I saw a sweet lady in front of me, all dressed up, struggling. She didn’t know her PIN number at the register, and the man behind me kept sighing and saying, “Come ON” while the cashier and I tried to help her. After that, she needed help with the cart because it had a big pole on it to stop people from taking it outside. I explained that they weren’t allowed outside, but I could help her. She quickly said no, but then looked at the parking lot and back at her bags. I said, “Really, I’d love to help.” She responded, “Oh, I couldn’t do that. You might not even be parked near me!” Seriously? As we walked out together, I learned her name was Dixie, and she was 83. She had stopped by after church and grocery shopping. She said, “These errands wear my old body out!” as we put the bags in her car. The part that made me really sad was when I finished and closed the trunk, she asked me, “How much do I owe you?” I laughed and said, “Nothing!” but she insisted, “No, I must pay you!” It made me so sad that she thought she should pay me for just helping her to her car. We need to do better. We need to be more proactive, bolder, and deliberate with our kindness. We’re failing our elderly. We’re failing the young ones who will grow up in a world like this. We’re failing each other. Let’s step up today, go outside our comfort zones, and spread kindness. Seriously! And invite your friends worldwide to our group so we can fill the world with GOODNESS. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Credits to the original author.

A Kind Young Man Helped My Grandfather I want to share a great story about a kind young man who went out of his way to help my 83-year-old grandfather. We went to Home Depot (Rhode Island Ave, DC) to buy a new spool feed for his trimmer. That’s when we met QuRan. He helped us find the right feed, and after we paid for it, we headed to the lawn services desk. An employee told us that the only person who could install it was on a lunch break and wouldn’t be back for an hour. My grandfather and I were about to leave when QuRan stopped us and asked if we needed help. When I explained the situation, he insisted on helping. Even though he probably had other things to do, he took the time to install the feed himselfand showed my grandfather how to do it step by step. He was so patient when my grandfather asked questions and never got frustrated. When my grandfather offered to return the favor, QuRan kindly declined and walked away with a smile.
