This round also marks the creation of the idOS Consortium—a collaborative initiative among leading web3 ecosystems and organizations. The Consortium aims to develop the identity layer of web3 and promote the adoption of decentralized identity throughout the web3 space. idOS is a decentralized data storage and access management protocol. It enables ecosystems to provide an identity layer for dApps to solve compliant user onboarding and significantly reduce friction. For users, idOS provides control over their data and the ability to decide with whom they share it. A cross-chain, composable and compliant identity layer is a crucial element for web3 to achieve mainstream adoption. Our goal is to bring DeFi into the real world by enabling everyday use cases that leverage decentralized, permissionless, and more efficient web3 infrastructure. We call this OpenFi. Re-writing all the #cassie spammer tools is proving to be a pain😅
Believe it or not, actually producing the transactions which constitute hundreds of thousands of swaps per second (without cheating!) plus other types of load is quite the challenge unto itself!
As that load will mainly be generated on the validators the community provides, it needs to be pretty efficient so it doesn't eat away at available resource affecting execution and consensus, suppressing the throughput ceiling.
At the same time, each validator needs to be able to produce enough load so that we can actually achieve the goals without resorting to many dedicated spammer boxes which impacts decentralization of the test.
I guess its a "nice" problem to have in a way and not something many other projects thing about.
"How do I produce a million+ transactions per second with signatures and all efficiently?" 😅
