In the afternoon we got to learn about the entire prairie habitat @StoryCoCons with Ms. Bekah. Our awesome chaperones led the students through stations and we ended the day with a hike! #NevadaCubPride

Ms. Jess with @StoryCoCons had the kids try to hide in the prairie like insects would. Then she was the bird and tried to spot them. Last she had the grown-ups go be the insects and then let the kids be the birds and come find us! #NevadaCubPride

The fabulous Britt from Dog-Eared Books helped us kick off our book rec wall! Using “shelf talker” cards from the store, she taught us how to share key ideas about a book without spoilers and we wrote some shelf talker cards that may be featured at the bookstore! #NevadaCubPride

Today we learned about the writing process by sculpting with Play-Doh. After playing with ideas, drafting, revising, and editing, students had the chance to take a gallery walk to view our final products. #NevadaCubPride

2nd try at the paper chain challenge: Teams adjusted their strategies and made improvements. The best part: instead of being worried about whose chain was the longest, they were discussing how huge the chain would be if we connected each part as one big team! #NevadaCubPride
