As development continues, protecting and restoring suitable low-lying areas, alongside improving drainage, could play an important role in making Lekki more flood-resilient.

❌Just like Agungi, the people of Ogombo are going through a lot. I urge @lagosstategovt to step in immediately and implement short-term measures to provide relief. Many of the drainage channels are blocked, preventing floodwater from flowing as it should. The same situation exists in Ilaje. This should be treated as an emergency before lives are lost. People are in real distress. Many are stranded, helpless, and unable to leave their homes to earn a living.
