I’m reliably informed that “If the bees disappear off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” I had been researching the chemicals we have in our food stuffs to make them look fresher, last longer etc .  The Dr who offered me a free over 55’s health check advised that I researched what I was eating after being told that my cholesterol was a tad high and needed addressing. Mrs Holland, instantly changed our diet to a zero processed food diet and it naturally got us looking into food and what we are doing to our bodies.  We’ve started cooking with more spices as the only ingredients in our food today are the ones we add, not some chemist working in a lab for Tesco’s or Morrisons.  Thankfully Mrs Holland enjoys cooking and as a former Chef at The Savoy Hotel in London, I suppose I’m blessed in that department. not going to bang on about what the chemicals you eat do to your body, you can do your own research and reach your own conclusions, all I know is that our food tastes better, I’m not getting hungry after 8pm, my attention span is greater, eyesight improved, stamina increased and no longer do I get a racing heart after a 5 min fast walk or a few minutes of sawing wood and other ‘cardio-vascular’ exercise. The fat I was carrying, wasn’t actually fat.  It was inflammation of the organs caused by the chemicals I was consuming.  I’ve lost nearly 6kgs and never felt better, but that might be the statins they told me would keep me alive longer (not looked into them yet, too busy learning about the evils of seed oil) And once you go down a rabbit hole, there’s no telling where you end up and soon found myself thinking about our long late summer walks over Magdalen Fen where the wheat and barley grows.  From the road, driving past, or from afar, stunning fields of food, swaying in the wind but as you walk alongside it on tranquil lanes you’d expect to see a few birds at least.  Nothing.  Not a bird, not an insect.  The food they grow and the ‘stuff’ they spray has all but killed the insects.  The fields are sterile, in every sense of the word.  We see the deer, signs of badgers, and herons sitting aside the dykes that keep The Fens from flooding but the insects and stuff that should be there, isn’t. And then we read that the food we grow in our own garden is more likely to have the chemicals that were sprayed all over them as well, due to the close proximity of the fields that surround the village on three sides.  We have the river alongside the village as it’s an old fishing and farming village.  Our business is based in the old fisherman’s shed that used to process the catch that was bought in on the incoming tide.  But the river was killed off back in the 80’s when there was a spill from Dow Chemicals up at the port in King’s Lynn.  It’s come back to life now as we have all the waders, ducks, geese, cormorants, the odd whale and few Dolphins and a resident seal. But the fields are devoid of life. So, the fields are full of chemicals, our food is full of chemicals and the river was full of chemicals.  And unless we stop using the chemicals we are using, bees will die.  As will we. But it’s not all doom and gloom.  Nature has its way and will always win.  It’s proven that time and time again and it will win the climate war but it needs our help.  We just need to stop insisting on the shiniest fruit and veg and stop burning fossil fuels.  It’s as simple as that. Oh, and go take some long walks in the countryside.  See for yourself and then do your research.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻? In a nutshell, it is the digital equivalent of writing on the back of a photograph. The question is, what to "write on the back of your images?" #seoexpert #businessdevelopment #onlineadvertising
