@WolvesWin2022 @WNBA Their results pertaining to core: T-1. Dallas – 31% T-1. Seattle – 31% 3. Washington – 23% 4. Indiana – 15% You’re saying combo so it’s a different argument than what I’m presenting. They’re great and 2 #1 overall players but as a young core I’m taking Washington every time.

Iwuala seems like a great friend to Lauren and I think she’s gotten better as a player. Missed a few bunnies the second preseason game, and there’s just too much competition inside. I haven’t broken down Nyla’s game as much but wishing her the best. I think we have one development spot left but im not sure where they’re looking to go with this.

Thoughts on the Mystics waiving Madison Scott, Christeen Iwuala, and Nyla Harris. I really like the positive energy from Scott. She’s one of the first to stand up congratulating and motivating teammates. I had a feeling a cut was coming when watching the first preseason game. Minnesota brought the press and with Georgia being limited/ramped up with her first game back, Scott’s current skill set couldn’t help relieve that pressure much. But she sure can pressure the ball.

Do I love her fit on the Mystics? No. She shot 16% from 3 last season. We got a 2028 first for Jacy, and HVL got waived for nothing so the people in their building made the call based on what they saw. No hate at all

I may be missing something but I’m confused with Hailey Van Lith has been waived by the Chicago Sky. She was a first round pick just a year ago… Didn’t they trade with both expansion teams to make sure they wouldn’t lose players like her? Jacy Sheldon and Sydney Taylor must be the future. Wondering where HVL will go next

Lucy Olsen always plays with joy, but today it looked like she was playing more free compared to the last game. She got in her bag and that’s what it’ll take for her to ascend. Nice showing today. 9 points, 75% from the field, 2 assists, 2 rebounds in 16 minutes.

I don’t know what will happen but I want Rori Harmon to make this team. In 18 minutes she had 6 points, 4 assists, and 4 turnovers. BUT the twitch, defense, and midrange is there. I want to see her get to her spots more, she can control things at this level & the free throws have to improve

Washington Mystics postgame thread against the Atlanta Dream: Lauren Betts led all scores at the half with 15 points on 6/8 from the field. The jumper looks good and although it’s so early, it’s hard not to be excited about what she will do as a rookie.

Outside of blowing the 14-4 lead, I really liked what I saw from us in that first quarter. This is the time to learn and work things out but the chemistry between Lauren and Kiki is already there. Angel Reese is a fun matchup against these two. She’s relentless and that can’t be coached

I’ve never seen someone reference Kira playing the 3 but I like the boldness! As much as I would love for that to work I don’t think it could. Defensively it would exclusively have to be zone, and offensively her ability to get to the rim is good but how do you get her in the action we run while preserving her health. You did say spurts, it would be cool to see

Mystics fans, Preseason game 2 happening Sunday against the Atlanta Dream. What do you want to see from the team this game? Hopefully we can see Shakira and Kiki back in the lineup for a few minutes.

Paige Bueckers is already listed as a top 10 player heading into year two. Juju Watkins could arguably make this list before her first WNBA game. #Mystics Sonia Citron is the 2nd highest ranked player that’s heading into year 2 on this list sitting at 29.
