I will not be bullish again (overall) until there is a clear and obvious capitulation day in the markets. We’ve seen them before, and there is zero signs of one yet. Markets don’t bottom till this happens and fear actually spikes. And I do believe it’s coming in the next 1-4 weeks overall.

Follow up from last week….
Still no real signs of panic & continue to feel a lot like a controlled demolition where each week a new sector takes its turn getting beat up.
It also feels like a lot of people are anchored to the last 2 years of price action where every bottom was clearly defined with a sharp $VIX blow-off top.
But scroll back a little further.
In 2022, $SPY sold off ~27%
and $VIX never even broke 40.
No massive $VIX spike over 60.
No capitulation event.
It just lived in the 20s–30s for months
while price kept grinding lower for 9.5 months.
Not every selloff ends in textbook panic.
Some just grind you down until big money is finally ready for the markup.
So don’t get too conditioned to what’s worked recently…
because history shows us that this could be a different type of market.

Every sector red today except $XLF — but look at the volume on $RSP (S&P Equal Weight ETF). This still feels like a controlled demolition. Not panic. The $VIX agrees — elevated, coiled, prepared for a nasty move. But no capitulation spike. No widespread fear flush. Honestly? I wish it would. That's usually how you get the slingshot effect back up.
