You cannot demand perfect behavior from someone who is being disrespected on a fundamental, personal level. If Malik Stanley truly was the guy in the clip, then context matters. Being Black abroad, especially in places where people feel entitled to treat you like an oddity or a joke comes with a whole different layer of disrespect that many people will never understand. You don’t get to tone police someone who is defending their dignity. And let us stop acting like he is some violent menace.
