We had a great time screening Unexpected Guests in Edinburgh--many intriguing chats with the audience about voice-hearing. The film will be playing this week at the 15th Pune Short Film Festival.

Mental health twitter! Can anyone recommend any short films about human rights, lived experience, peer support, and/or alternatives to coercion, ideally made by/with people with lived experience? It's to show students for a lecture on mental health and human rights. Thanks!

@TheSmallPlaces @lailaprajani Hi Lucy, it isnt available publicly yet I'm afraid, as it is being submitted to film festivals. Ive only been doing private community screenings. It will be available in 10 months or so.

Someone asked me why I like dystopian sci fi stories, given how depressing they can be. I find them hopeful. They imagine societies similar to ours but more dire, more hopeless, with less resources. Still, people resist corruption, power, greed, lies; they fight for each other.

@MzRobynThomas You may have to consider axing @Google and @googlechrome, which seems to be a thing if you want better and more ethical functionality. They have got too used to being the default.

Annoyed I have to keep scrolling past the AI Overview in google. It's full of incorrect and useless information. We should have the option to opt-in or opt-out of generative AI and to know when and where it is being used. Particularly given its ethical and enviornmental failures.

Lived experience of being helped by psych meds doesn't negate lived experience of being harmed by psych meds, and vice versa. There is this amazing thing called human variation and diversity of "lived experience" - rather than fight one another, we can call for more choice.

Feelings don't care about your facts. This is going to be a deep dive into the role of conspiracy culture in building the Trump coalition. When needed structural change isn't on offer, conspiracies are doppelgangers/substitutes of the real thing.

Whatever your views on the Royal Family, we can surely all agree that they shouldn’t be profiting from our NHS.
