I have met a lot of people that voted Peter Obi the last time and will be voting PBAT next year. I have also met a lot of people that voted Peter Obi last time but will sit out this election because Peter Obi hasn’t been as inspiring as he was in 2023 and they do not consider the alternatives as better. I haven’t met a single PBAT supporter that is now supporting Peter Obi or any other candidate( this is my reality) I believe this administration hasn’t lived up to certain hype but I cannot deny that it’s been reform minded. Helping correct structural issues that have plagued this country far too long. For example, the recent passage of the state policing bill is by no means a mean feat. That this administration makes it look easy or don’t blow their trumpet so loudly does not diminish the huge significance of the bill and the tireless work that they put into it. The implementation of the Nigeria Payments System Vision 2028 ( championed by CBN) is another policy that has gone under the radar(I believe we should all read about the policy) . This is one policy that will revolutionize our financial system for good. One that will birth several financial innovation and products. There is no eradication of poverty without financial inclusion and it appears CBN is on an articulated agenda towards a sustainable path. For some of us, there are enough reasons to stick around this current administration. The alternatives aren’t as inspiring and simply do not have what it takes to out perform this current administration.

Soludo is not bothered about roads, health care, youth employment, agriculture, security, or the economy of Anambra. His full time occupations are burials, herbalists, miracles, mortuary and every other nonsense in the book. A useless professor!

Ifeyinwa Okwudo has now been expelled from Ezzy College of Nursing, Enugu. She was the woman who indefinitely suspended Joy Ezeugwu for exposing the dilapidated state of Uwani Health Center, Enugu. She also recently slapped a 9-months pregnant student three times. To those of you oppressing our students: it’s only a matter of time before we shine our light on you.

The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 triggered a global movement. One school abduction was enough to unite Nigerians, attract international attention, and place enormous pressure on the government through the #BringBackOurGirls campaign. Yet, what has happened since then should trouble every Nigerian. Under President Buhari's eight years in office, Nigeria witnessed about ten school abductions. Under President Tinubu's administration, in just three years, we have already recorded over ten school abductions. Despite these repeated tragedies, there has been neither sustained national outrage nor significant international attention comparable to what followed Chibok. This raises an important question: have we become so accustomed to insecurity that what once shocked our national conscience is now treated as normal? At a time when millions of Nigerians are grappling with insecurity, poverty, and hardship, it is deeply troubling that those in power appear more focused on political calculations and preparations for the next election than on addressing the urgent challenges confronting our people. It is, therefore, no surprise that some observers have labelled us a "Now Disgraced Nation". While we do not agree with any attempt to define our great country by its present difficulties, we must acknowledge that persistent insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership failure have damaged our reputation and standing among nations. The answer is not denial, propaganda, or political distraction. The answer is leadership that is competent, compassionate, accountable, and genuinely committed to the welfare and security of the Nigerian people. The Nigerian youth must not become indifferent. We must all refuse to normalise failure. Young Nigerians - Take back your country! A New Nigeria is Possible. -PO

Our language around governance is so interesting in Nigeria. We talk like when someone wins an election, the money and resources of the state become their personal largesse and any progress or work that happens is because they’re kind enough to “dash” us.

I argue it’s a consequence of viewing politicians like fathers and mothers rather than employees of the state who are duty bound to deliver on the requirements of the roles they occupy.

How can you use limited State funds to start building a new airport in Anambra? Anambra already has an airport. Anambra is close to Enugu, which has an international airport. What about connecting Anambra to the Port Harcourt rail line? Or building a new gas-fired power station? Or developing an agro-processing hub? No... you chose an airport. Lack of strategic imagination.
