It’s finally here! New players finally have some more content to dive into without simply being thrown to the wolves in PvP. This should be massive for player conversions. I’d love to see some opinions from new players on what this new experience is like.

Is this a good option? Let's take a look and compare vs 3 common methods of buying $SPS. Here's what you get with $100. Uniswap: 9745 SPS ($2.85 gas fee) PancakeSwap: 9900 SPS (low gas fee) Crypto dot com: 9508 SPS RampNetwork: 9749 SPS Note that the Uniswap and Pancake pools are not directly connected with USDC, so you could get better prices by going through different coins. This comparison is for simplicity. You also currently cannot sell SPS on RampNetwork, only buy. It appears RampNetowork replaces CDC as a superior option for buying $SPS directly with fiat. CDC has long been awful, with massive buy/sell spreads that are frequently >10%. But when you buy with either of them it doesn't go directly in game. It goes to an external wallet, and you must understand how to use an external wallet and transfer it in game. So this doesn't really simplify the process. Since you have to know how to use an external wallet anyways you might as well learn one more step to use the LPs and get a better price. And since you can't sell with RampNetwork, you must learn a different offboarding process. This will inevitably lead to occasional frustrations when players effectively have money stuck in game they can't get out. Having more options is good. So I don't view this overall as a bad thing (although what does it cost the DAO?). But I don't view this as a major win. Not until you can buy and sell directly to your in game wallet will I feel that way.

I’m kind of in shock right now. Over 800 people came through stream to literally just watch me swap tokens back and forth and chat Splinterlands. 70+ concurrent views for most of the stream. We burned over 3.5 million $SPS worth over $35k. Incinerated. Gone for good. Over 0.1% of the max supply of the token gone in a single stream for no reason other than the players wanted to burn it. I love this community.
