Along with me on this platform were people from different fields, some were scientists, others were educationists. Today, those leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) include a world-class cricketer, a Padma Shri awardee, and social activists. All these people gave up everything and came together with the resolve to build a corruption-free India and established this party. I was a founding member of this party, and perhaps very few people know it better than I do. Together, with full commitment and dedication, we built the party in Delhi, established it in Punjab, and tried to expand it to other states. But today, with great sadness, pain, and shame, I say that the party, which was formed with a pledge to end corruption, is now deeply trapped in the hands of corrupt and compromised individuals. पिछले दो दशक से भी अधिक समय से आपने अपना विश्वास एवं समर्थन मेरे साथ लगातार बनाए रखा है, तथा उसी के बल पर हमने बिहार की और आप सब लोगों की पूरी निष्ठा से सेवा की है। आपके विश्वास और समर्थन की ही ताकत थी कि बिहार आज विकास और सम्मान का नया आयाम प्रस्तुत कर रहा है। इसके लिए पूर्व में भी मैंने आपके प्रति कई बार आभार व्यक्त किया है। संसदीय जीवन शुरू करने के समय से ही मेरे मन में एक इच्छा थी कि मैं बिहार विधान मंडल के दोनों सदनों के साथ संसद के भी दोनों सदनों का सदस्य बनूँ। इसी क्रम में इस बार हो रहे चुनाव में राज्यसभा का सदस्य बनना चाह रहा हूँ। मैं आपको पूरी ईमानदारी से विश्वास दिलाना चाहता हूँ कि आपके साथ मेरा यह संबंध भविष्य में भी बना रहेगा एवं आपके साथ मिलकर एक विकसित बिहार बनाने का संकल्प पूर्ववत कायम रहेगा। जो नई सरकार बनेगी उसको मेरा पूरा सहयोग एवं मार्गदर्शन रहेगा।
