Long winter nights are officially over (in the Northern Hemisphere, at least!) Today is the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, while autumn begins in the Southern Hemisphere. Bonus: On the equinox, day and night are nearly equal, about 12 hours each.

Fun fact: Perseverance is helping keep the @NASAArtemis II crew safe! The rover can see sunspots not visible from Earth — giving up to 2 weeks’ advance notice so the team can monitor and prepare for potentially dangerous solar flares. go.nasa.gov/4rvmclj
