NOTE: There was a stat keeper pause in the first few minutes of the Mavericks-Jazz 3rd quarter I'll monitor if any stats get recorded incorrectly during this time

@202wizards @bravesblood91 Found it in the 4th quarter. I mean, this was never an assist. I’m sorry if it hurt your bet, but this is a good correction

It's not the dribbles that kill this assist, its the hesitation. If Ayo went straight to the basket, then it's an assist But because he read the defense, and sat at the top of the key, it's tough to give an assist to that. I've seen it happen before on rare occasions, but I doubt this could ever get changed

@way2elevated @NBA @nbastats It was for a second, but at the end of the scrum it looked like Jones got possession. It's close, but I lean Spencer Jones rebound, then jump ball, then timeout

@NBAStatAuditor @NBA @nbastats I could’ve sworn I seen Mobley grab the the board first then it turned into a jump ball.

@NBA @nbastats @NBAStatAuditor Make it make sense. How does player grab a DEFENSIVE REBOUND then the opposing team calls a timeout BY RULE YOU CANT EVEN DO THAT. JONES DIDNT EVEN GRAB THE BOARD MOBLEY DID THEN IT WAS JUMP BALL. FIX YOUR STATS I WATCHED THE GAME .

🚨NBA Stat Error🚨 🏀1/2 - Kings @ Suns At 0:34 in the 2nd quarter, O'Neale passed to Goodwin who passed to Booker for the layup. But O'Neale was given the assist even though Goodwin was the one who passed to Booker HOW DO THESE MISTAKES HAPPEN?!😡

They didn’t give Bub Carrington his assist here This is a clear assist, Carrington came up 1 short of his PRA and pushed his AST. He would’ve went over with this. @nbastats @NBAStatAuditor Looks like it could’ve possibly been tipped but the more I watch it the more I don’t see it If it wasn’t tipped, how is this not an AST?

🚨NBA STAT ERROR🚨 🏀1/2 - Nets @ Wizards At 11:15 in the 3Q: Bagley gets a pass from Carrington, takes one dribble, and shoots a floater But they books MISSED a clear assist for Carrington and didn't award it to him. He should have 5 assists in this game SPREAD THE WORD🗣️

@VaughanJon44926 After you cut the video, Jones got clear possession of the ball. Then Mobley goes for it, forcing a jump ball.

Mobley grabs it comes down with it and jones takes it from him after he came down with it…and they call a jump ball no way does jones get the rebound here Mobley clearly has two hands on it comes down while jones has one hand and takes it away when he brings it down low

Here's the Thompson one This one is unique as I'm not sure Thompson ever had control over it. Tries to grab it with his left, fumbles it to his right, then loses control and Sengun grabs it. It looks like he kinda just throws it towards KD, Sengun or Jabari to grab, and not specifically towards someone I could see the argument for a rebound here, but I highly doubt this will get changed. I'd lean Sengun REB as Thompson never gets control of it, and doesn't do a controlled tip to Sengun

Scottie Barnes is missing 1 rebound 6:17 in the 4th, Porter shoots a 3 and Barnes controlled tip to Walter Amen Thompson is missing 1 rebound 9:01 Kevin Durant shoots a 3, Amen tips it to Sengun. They gave the rebound to Sengun Will find video if they don’t fix it 🙏🏻

Here's the Barnes one. I really don't see the argument for a controlled tip personally. From what I've seen, there has to be clear intent to tip it to a specific player. I don't think you could 100% say Barnes knew Ingram was behind him, and got a clear tip with no interference from Turner I lean Ingram rebound

🚨NBA STAT ERROR🚨 🏀12/18: Lakers @ Jazz At 0:46 in the 2Q: Isaiah Collier passes back to Keyonte George who makes a 29 foot three pointer But the assist was given to Svi Mykhailiuk who was NOT INVOLVED IN THE PLAY?! How do these mistakes happen?!😡

@wade_andrew I appriciate the love my guy ❤️ I wish the potential assist stat was actually true. It's so scuffed right now. So many players this year have more assists than potential assists in a game, which should be impossible

Here's exactly what last week taught us - wins, losses, and the data behind both. It was a rough week overall with a P/L of -8.51U. 1. PAs don't always tell the full picture. Potential assists are a huge determinant in predicting future assist output, but it's not the ONLY determinant. In the case of Brandon Ingram, all you needed to do was watch the game tape. The Knicks were doubling BI whenever he tried to drive the basketball in their previous game vs him which leads to more assist opportunities. They did a similar thing to Franz earlier in the year. Cappers who watch film > cappers who only look at data. 2. Maxing Devin Vassell assists was my favorite hit of the week. It always feels fantastic when film study = good results. 3. I got way too aggressive in small slates. When there are limited games, it can be easy to "love" a lot of things. I lost 3.61u and 3.02u on Friday/Saturday. 4. The NBA really does have a problem with stat tracking. Derrick Queen got 8 assists on 12/11, which was a +830 on FD. The statisticians tracked 7, blatantly missing two. Nothing was done about it, just lost money due to user error. Also, I want to shout out @NBAStatAuditor for the work they do. It's needed, and all cappers should be supporting them. Follow for honest tracking and real transparency every Monday.
