I've officially started my internship, until May. It's awesome, I finally have an actual project that I can sink all of my time into, instead of bumping between different projects not knowing what to do.
However, the only downside is that I can't stream the project building :/
Update on Potential Job:
Heard back on Tuesday night from my contact, she said they have been super busy, but she wanted to get in touch with the VP, and hopefully get more details for me. But So far everyone seems to like me, and the current webdev gave them his approval. 👍
How does everyone name their variables in SCSS/CSS or whatever you use. I am trying this, usually I just do camelCase, but thought I would try whatever I am doing here, lol. I hate it, but, just curious to see how I like different setups.
Working on a @frontendmentor project. So far.
Been a while because I was sick, and had Java courses to deal with, so just basic vanilla html/css stuff.
Rough draft, will clean up the semantics of the html and look through it. #100DaysOfCode#buildinpublic#WomenInTech
@NBBTheCoder The only thing I need right now is for them to tell me an answer quicker lol. I submitted my stuff on Friday, and I should hear back today, hopefully.
I'm in part 3 of the interview process for this company.
They gave me the equivalent of a take-home quiz.
It's just doing some responsive stuff, and then the same javascript question with prime numbers.
They said they want to see how I do on a daily project.
Let's go
I have never seen more jealous people than cs grads seeing self-taught engineers succeed.
I enjoy it every single time.
Every great software engineer is self-taught.
Skill Exchange:
Can someone really good with CSS let me pick their brains on CSS and frontend design?
If you do, I offer to do the same for backend development and Node js.
@josewebdesigner@megfdev I agree that it powers a huge percentage of the websites on the internet but something about wordpress is so uncool that it never lets me take a deeper dive into it. I respect that a lot of people have made good careers working with Wordpress tho
@NBBTheCoder@megfdev I used to think that way, but then I realized how powerful WordPress is. There's a reason why it powers almost 50% of all websites worldwide. You just have to deep dive in its code base, and you'll be able to do amazing stuff. If you do that, you don't even need to use Elementor
Why does Wordpress seem so limited in how it allows you to style? They give me columns and then give me options for what's clearly either flex-row or flex-col (w/o using those names for some reason) but they don't let me choose the item spacing?? why?? or why is it hidden?? istg
I started learning Python today. Being a JavaScript developer, I hope it wouldn't be too hard for me to get used to Python. I would appreciate any suggestions from y'all about my journey with Python.
Day 18 of #100DaysOfCode
✅ Comments on bub code again while watching video to make correlations.
✅ React meta course on Coursera
Then my laptop died. 💀 I'm not sure what I'm going to do I can't replace it lol so today is a figure shit out day. And probably read docs.
