Our star student this week is Joselin. She always comes to school with joy and a love of learning. She loves to be independent and tries things herself before asking for help. What a helping hand she is to us all! #NCCAElementary

Last week we had a lot of fun moments as we did an art project related to our poem The Five Little Pumpkins. We also practiced writing our numbers and using candy corn to count. It was a week full of all things Halloween! #NCCAElementary

Heimy was awarded the Kindness Award for the month of September by Ms Schemerhorn! She is always going above and beyond helping friends even with all this social distancing! Way to go Heimy! #nccaeowls

Thanks to Zaidin, and his mom, for ensuring he is getting to bed earlier and getting the appropriate needed rest. We have seen a big positive difference. Keep it up!

Alexander came to school today with a smile on his face and ready to learn. He followed the word building activity with multi step directions. We are so proud of you! Keep it up!

Today we did a “field trip” so I could give them some comfort about coming back to the building. I’m sad to lose some of them, as many will switch to in-person on Monday and more on 10/1. I’ve made connections with each of them😞 I might be in person myself by then though.

Parker has been super engaged during our temporary remote! He has been on time to every Zoom, completing all assignments, and participating the during all of our lessons. I am so lucky to work with such an inspiring student! #NCCAE @NCCAElementary

@JRuizNCCAE & Mr Mahoney were nonstop tech support for 5th grade MAP testing today. They came up with creative solutions, reassured students and kept their cool while we struggled with technology. @NCCAElementary
