It was great meeting with the NC Coalition Against Domestic Violence and @NCCASA to discuss the importance of funding rape crisis centers and DV service providers.   NC has reached record rates of domestic violence, and Congress must support these efforts to eliminate sexual assault from our communities.

This week, the Council for Women & Youth Involvement's human trafficking team attended the biennial @NCCASA Conference, hosting a session on the intersectionality of sexual assault & human trafficking and creating a more holistic approach to serving survivors.

Thank you to @RepNealJackson, @LauraBuddNC103, @JenBalkcom, and Rep Stevens. This bill defines coerced consent in a thorough way and requires sites to takes non consensual images or videos within 72 hours. #ncpol

NEW: UNC basketball player Zayden High was suspended last semester after the university found him responsible for sexual exploitation. Despite sanctions barring him from athletics, he kept access to facilities & has been around the team at least once. newsobserver.com/news/local/edu…
