Important dates this year: Jan 13th, 2025 12-1pm EST: Hutton Reviewer training (mandatory for all reviewers, will be recorded if you cannot attend) Jan 19th, 2025: Student Applications Close Jan 27th, 2025: Hutton Review Assignments go live Feb 14th, 2025, 10am EST: Reviews Due

The application consists of a statement of interest, two short answer questions (one is a video response), and a reference form. Reviewers typically review 20-25 applications. If anyone is interested, email Ashley at aberniche@fisheries.org

The @AmFisheriesSoc Hutton Program is looking for a few more volunteers to help with application reviews early next year. If interested, please email aberniche@fisheries.org to sign up.

Please note, this event is the Saturday before the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference that will be held in St. Louis on January 19-22.

Attention students -- the AFS North Central Division is hosting a student conclave to take place on January 18th, 2025 from 10:00am to 7:00pm at the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area. Register by January 4, 2025. See details below for more information.

Meritorious Service. This award recognizes extraordinary service to the AFS by an NCD member. Nominations may be based on a single outstanding achievement or a variety of service activities, and may include the Chapter, Division, Section or Parent Society level.

Fisheries Excellence. This award will be given to a North Central Division member who has made an outstanding contribution to the fisheries profession. This contribution may be a single activity or a collection of achievements over the individual’s career.
