This Rory McIlroy presser highlights how bad the golf media can be at times with each reporter just parroting each other asking the same question over and over. 5 minutes and 22 seconds with 10 questions in a row about a minor back tweak for God's sakes. Q1) Where is your back as it is and will you play? (after this question and answer they could've moved on) 2) What have you been able to do and not been able to do? 3) Are you in pain now standing there? 4) Only when you swing? 5) Will the driver be the litmus test? 6) How do you now wrap your mind around playing in the Players Championship? 7) Do you think the sensitivity in your back will effect your game? 8) Will you make the decision on the range? 9) How important is it that you could aggravate it? 10) How did the first shot you hit today feel?

I have been playing lots of golf with my children this summer. Some observations: - nearly all golf courses are too long even from the front tees - hazards are often in stupid places making life harder for the weaker player - short golf courses are the future both in terms of length and number of holes - fast greens with big slopes are too much for beginners Golf still obsessed with being hard in the main. Needs to change
