Warning from NY Police: if someone from "HMRC" rings and says there is a warrant out for your arrest because of unpaid tax put the 'phone down. It's a scam. You'll be told: "press button 1 to talk to an advisor" and they'll try to get your payment and other personal details.

Today's presentation by North Yorkshire Police on cyber crime gave us lots of good ideas for staying safe online. The key is to be wary in all your online dealings, and never disclose your personal details to any business or individual that you don't trust completely.
