We are grateful for the administration’s strong support on keeping the #deminimis loophole closed. This dangerous loophole has facilitated forced labor, dangerous & uninspected products to our doorsteps. We are grateful for the administration’s strong leadership on this issue.

The U.S. #textile industry thanks President Trump & USTR Greer for their strong support by exempting the 10% tariff for CAFTA-DR & USMCA qualified goods. Over 70% of what the domestic industry makes is exported to these critical markets. This is welcome news at a critical time.

@LindseyGrahamSC NCTO & the U.S. #textile industry thanks @LindseyGrahamSC for his leadership and support on this important issue & we look forward to working with him & the administration on ensuring that 100% of federal law enforcement uniforms are made in the USA.

I find it unbelievable, and quite frankly unacceptable, that uniforms for federal law enforcement agencies are produced by foreign nations. This practice is just one of too many examples where our dependency on other countries seriously jeopardizes our nation’s safety.
As @POTUS works to rebuild domestic manufacturing, I encourage him to take executive action to ensure 100% of federal law enforcement uniforms are made in the USA. This move would greatly help to revitalize South Carolina’s textile industry, which was decimated for many years by these types of America-last policies that sold out our industrial base at the expense of American workers and national security.

🚨 The U.S. #textile industry can't afford another backdoor trade loophole.
NCTO urges House leaders to block legislation that would reopen a dangerous pathway for millions of low-value imports that undermine U.S. #textile manufacturers. 👇

The U.S. textile industry sincerely appreciates Sen. Graham's support of this vital industry. We applaud his call to procure more American-made textiles & apparel across federal agencies & the military. This will bolster our sector in support of an America First Trade policy.
Lindsey Graham@LindseyGrahamSC
Ensuring we have a robust domestic textile industry is vital to national security. Our nation should no longer source textile-based tactical gear from foreign suppliers. We must look for more opportunities to source from home rather than overseas. Under @POTUS, we can revitalize the domestic textile industrial base to provide for the needs of warfighters and federal agents.

📢 NCTO CEO Kim Glas at National Press Club highlights why it was imperative for the U.S. government to end the #deminimis loophole which allowed 1.4B low-value shipments to enter the U.S. market duty free & uninspected, harming U.S. manufacturers & putting consumers at risk.👇
