As part of the command overseeing our CIRT team, I want to echo the prev tweets while thanking our community & all levels of gov't for their cont'd support. Our officers worked tirelessly to take dangerous drugs/a firearm off our streets — making our neighbourhoods safer for all

Through this Project Winner operation, @PeelPolice have taken more than $1 million worth of dangerous drugs off our streets — including crystal meth, cocaine, fentanyl, and other highly addictive substances that destroy lives and families. They also seized a loaded handgun with an extended magazine and over 1,000 rounds of ammunition.   Let’s be clear: this is not just about drugs or guns — it’s about saving lives. Every gram of fentanyl taken out of circulation represents a potential overdose prevented. Every illegal gun seized is a tragedy that never happens. @peel_pa @PoliceAssocON #publicsafety

Our Community Intervention and Response Team (CIRT) in action! Project Winner was a drug trafficking investigation resulting in significant results: •Over $1M in illicit drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine •A loaded handgun and 1000 rounds of ammunition Illegal drugs and guns have no place in our communities. @PeelPolice will continue to crack down on this kind of dangerous behaviour and hold those responsible accountable. Great work from our officers at 22 Divsion CIRT!

At @PeelPolice, more than 100 of our members have served — or continue to serve — in the military. That shared spirit of service reflects a legacy of courage, duty, and commitment. This morning, I attended the Sunrise Service at Meadowvale Cemetery Chapel in Mississauga, and later joined the City of Brampton’s Remembrance Day ceremony with Royal Canadian Legion Branches 15 and 609. Today, we honour the Canadians who made the ultimate sacrifice — and all who continue to serve our country and communities with pride. #RemembranceDay

Community safety issues don’t exist in isolation and neither does our response. Our 2nd Annual Community Partner Engagement Day brought together community leaders to collaborate on how and where to implement change. Aligned with our Community Safety and Well-being strategy, we believe the future of policing is built with the community. So thankful to the over 50 community partner organizations, elected officials and Peel Police Service Board for their attendance today - just another way @PeelPolice is policing differently.

At @PeelPolice, we take great pride in responding to the evolving needs of the communities we serve. This funding allows us to continue investing in the tools and resources our officers need to address crimes and incidents that deeply impact residents. With a dedicated Hate Crime Unit and enhanced mental health supports, we are strengthening our ability to make Peel safer and more resilient. Thank you to @ONGov, @Charmomof5, @BramptonGraham & @MppGualtieri, and our Peel Police Service Board, for your continued commitment to public safety.

This is another example of the great work being done by our frontline officers, taking illegal firearms out of the hands of criminals and off our streets. These are 2 of the 15 crime guns seized so far this month alone, and over 100 so far this year #CSWB @ChiefNish @NChhinzer
