I wonder, after a defeat like, whether KK or SBR would have their players do a lap of ‘appreciation’ or would they have hauled them down the tunnel for the mother of all dressing downs? @stewart_penman @stevewraith @geordiedentist

Ferguson 3years at Manc Reds without a major trophy. He led them to second in 1988 but followed that with an 11th‑placed finish and the mediocrity continued. The rest is history If Ferguson was in charge of #NUFC now the majority of e-mag mongs would want him out

@PaulDav86486288 1. Spurs have employed one of these "DOF" people for 20 years, and had 17 managers. 2. Chelsea similar, 5 current "DOFs" and 20 managers since Mourinho. 3. Notts Forest 4 managers this season, finally sacked the DOF who signed players and they all allegedly couldn't work with.

3/ will come a new 5 year plan, just look at spurs, changing the man at the helm doesn’t always work and sometimes causes irreparable damage. Stick with him, trust him, back him. He can be our Alex Ferguson (who they almost sacked btw) Eddie in

1/ We managed to bag a top manager, at a time when we shouldn’t have really. He’s met and exceeded expectations every season to date, this season though despite a horrendous situation that brought us to our knees in the summer, it seems that expectations exceeded performance,

@JimmyWatt19 @Jayb1970NUFC If Spurs came in, he wouldn't last 5 minutes just like the rest of them. Because since they started this "sporting director" business 20 years ago, they've had 17 managers. Work it out.

@Jayb1970NUFC For me, Paul Mitchell & Darren Eales f**ked Eddie over in the summer. Eddie had to be manager & Sporting Director & all the Isak sh*t. Heat of the moment last night, i was crying out for Eddie to be sacked but if we did and Tottenham or West Ham came in for him, I would be gutted

There’s a point ppl are missing about NUFC and whether you Howe in or out & this is my opinion! We haven’t had a sporting director who been able to do his job long enough to make a proper impact & yes EH has had his say in that, maybe too much rightly or wrongly! For me it’s 1/3

@JimmyWatt19 @Jayb1970NUFC Its only right and proper the manager only signs players he wants. Top flight managers have spent their careers getting up to the top flight, only for a "director" to tell them who to sign 🤣. This is the very same system KK walked out on.

@sinceApril1970 @Jayb1970NUFC KK walked because he wanted to manage his own team mate, and didn't want one of these "sporting directors" signing players for HIS team. Stop making things up. This is the very same DOF system people say they want now, that Eddie "needs".

@Jayb1970NUFC I’ve said a few times that the 1st problem to solve is the board room structure & backing for Eddie. Until we have a solid structure there you will struggle with any manager. Let’s face it, Keegan walked because it wasn’t what it said in the brochure. Eddie has more cause.

Depending on if Man City beat Liverpool in the next round of the FA cup, Man City are highly likely to double. Man City vs Arsenal (H) Man City vs Burnley (A) Are you keeping Haaland or are you brave enough to go against him for the double ? #FPL

@JackStanley86 in that case, as he took over a group of players who had finished mid table for 4 years, either that must have been a serious over achievement, or Eddie Howe should be doing better for 800m quid.

Eddie Howe has had 3.5 seasons of overachievement relative to resources and wage bill. This season is the first time he / the team have performed below expectations and there are mitigating factors. He has earned a chance to put things right. It is that simple for me #nufc

@JackStanley86 its in his skillset to identify players HE wants for HIS team. He's spent his career working up to being manager of a top flight club. Its not in the skillset of anybody else to identify players Eddie Howe wants for HIS team. Wtf is wrong with people 🤣

People in the comments here not understanding that Eddie Howe is not a DoF. It isn’t his skillset or job to identify and sign players. And for half of his #nufc transfer windows he has had to do that. He’s not blameless but saying he’s personally wasted money is just wrong.
Jack@JackStanley86

Very painful result in predictable circumstances for #nufc. Similar story for large parts of a season that was compromised before a ball was kicked. Unacceptable and embarrassing. My position on Howe is the same. He gets a proper summer and a chance to put it right next season.

Totally agree. E Howe had no sporting director and had to deal with the whole A Isak debacle!! Wotamade is a good player but NOT for Newcastle style. He will be good in 🇩🇪 Wissa? I’m 50/50 on him, but it’s was a real panic going into the new season with no strikers.

@donhutch4 All our problems this season stem from the summer we cannot have another summer this time round like last summer

@NUFC_HQ he may have won the trophy we longed for, but he isn't the best manager. It depends on what you mean by best. And for me, KK and Joe Harvey dug us out of a far deeper hole than Howe did.

There's wanting your manager out but some of the wording and abuse towards the best manager we've had in our life time is an absolute joke. Also some of the replacement suggestions are laughable. The fanbase we have online 🤣🤦‍♂️#nufc

Careful what you wish for at NUFC. We've not had the best of track records as far as replacing managers who gave us some good times. Keegan to Dalglish and Robson to Souness.

@LostBoyNUFC180 KK resigned. And most people agreed that it was time for SBR to step down, at the time, You can't go around afraid of change if you have ambitions to do better. If you do, you're a loser.
