As part of Native American & Indigenous Heritage Month, the Pedroso Center partners with Native and Indigenous artisans with multiple food, arts and crafts vendors on the #NEIU Main Campus from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 for an evening of cultural exchange and appreciation.

Veterans Day was established in 1918 to acknowledge U.S. Veterans nationwide for their dedicated service to our country. The annual Wreath Laying Ceremony hosted by #NEIU Veterans Services recognizes and honors those who have served our nation.

Mirelsie Velázquez, Ph.D., will be the speaker for the #NEIU Goodwin College of Education 11th Annual Jean Burke Carlson and Diane Berger Ehrlich Memorial Lecture. The talk will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 on the Main Campus in the Auditorium. Read more: loom.ly/Mh_3uz4

#NEIU's Peace Corps Prep program hosts a screening of “A Towering Task: The Story of the Peace Corps” on Nov. 13 from 6-9 p.m. The documentary tells the story of the Peace Corps, a U.S. government program established in 1961. See details at neiu.edu/events.

The FAFSA determines eligibility for both federal and state assistance such as Pell, MAP and Direct Loans. The 2025-2026 FAFSA is expected to open on or before Dec. 1 and opens in beta on Nov. 4 for NEIU students who sign up today, 10/28, via the Student Interest Form in Nmail.
