Today, the Supreme Court issued a decision in Trump v. Barbara, upholding the 14th amendment. NETWORK's Senior Government Relations Manager, Giovana Oaxaca says "all people are made in God’s image. It would be a violation of their inherent human dignity to not recognize all children born here as anything other than full citizens under the law." Read more of her statement at the link in our bio.

High unemployment, housing inflation, billionaire tax cuts under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and rampant privatization are just some of the predatory elements of our current economy keeping young adults and all of us from affordable homes and lives, says Lydia Nelson in her latest reflection "Not Our Parents' Economy". But there is hope, she says.

As we strive for political accountability, an end to the horrors of oppression and inequity, and a future reflective of the common good, we too must be grounded in our source of unity, peace, and universal belonging, says NETWORK's Chief of Staff, Sr. Erin Zubal, OSU in her latest reflection, "Sink or Climb." "When we embrace the idea of scaling a holy mountain rather than succumb to the despairing image of a sinking ship, we equip ourselves for the justice journey ahead." Yesterday we joined @casa4all and many others in front of the steps of the Supreme Court to lift up our voices and denounce the devastating ruling impacting Haiti and Syria TPS holders. Now more than ever we must continue to advocate, unite and push for legal pathways for impacted communities to seek safety, such as S. 4814! Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate freedom, joy, love and community. 🖤❤️💚 On this day in 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of slavery, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. We honor that history, and hold the truth that freedom deferred is freedom denied. Happy Juneteenth.
