On Monday, June 29th, the Supreme Court of the United States decided Watson v. Republican National Committee, upholding Mississippi's law that allows mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted if received within five days afterward. NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice celebrates this ruling for the common good!

Today, the Supreme Court issued a decision in Trump v. Barbara, upholding the 14th amendment. NETWORK's Senior Government Relations Manager, Giovana Oaxaca says "all people are made in God’s image. It would be a violation of their inherent human dignity to not recognize all children born here as anything other than full citizens under the law." High unemployment, housing inflation, billionaire tax cuts under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and rampant privatization are just some of the predatory elements of our current economy keeping young adults and all of us from affordable homes and lives, says Lydia Nelson in her latest reflection "Not Our Parents' Economy". But there is hope, she says.

Yesterday we joined @casa4all and many others in front of the steps of the Supreme Court to lift up our voices and denounce the devastating ruling impacting Haiti and Syria TPS holders. Now more than ever we must continue to advocate, unite and push for legal pathways for impacted communities to seek safety, such as S. 4814!
