On this St. Joseph the Worker Day, NETWORK and the Catholic Labor Network come together in prayer for all who labor. St. Joseph, model of quiet strength and dignity, reminds us that every worker deserves not only respect, but the ability to thrive. As we lift up this prayer, we hold close those working tirelessly, especially those struggling to make ends meet, and recommit ourselves to building an economy that honors their worth. May we follow St. Joseph’s example by standing in solidarity, advocating for justice, and ensuring every worker is supported with care, dignity, and love. Thank you to Cross Catholic Outreach for the prayer! #MayDay #SaintJosephtheWorker

As the Church honors St. Joseph the Worker, the patron saint of all engaged in labor, on May 1, may we recommit to the vision: dignity in work, justice in wages, and an economy for all. #mayday

Budgets are moral documents—and right now, Congress is not putting the people's needs first. Families are facing higher costs for food, health care, and housing after H.R. 1, passed last summer, while lawmakers are now pushing even more cuts to essential programs. It doesn’t have to be this way. A moral budget that works for all is possible. Read about NETWORK's asks and how Congress can choose people over politics → Link in bio!

The Supreme Court’s decision in 𝘓𝘰𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘷. 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘴 is a sweeping and unconscionable setback—undermining the right to meaningful and equitable representation and threatening the promise of a multiracial democracy. By weakening 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁, this ruling silences communities who have long fought to be heard. As people of faith, we believe every person has equal dignity—and every voice deserves to be counted. We will not be deterred. We will organize, mobilize, and show up at the ballot box. Our democracy is not dead. It is alive—and it’s worth fighting for.” Read the full statement → 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗼

All communities have an equal opportunity to exercise their sacred right to vote: “As people rooted in the Gospel and Catholic Social Justice, we decry racial injustice and political exclusion in all its forms. NETWORK is committed - as a matter of faithful citizenship - to do our part to ensure all communities have an equal opportunity to exercise their sacred right to vote this November, and to organize with urgency so that all our communities make their voices heard despite this decision, and to manifest at the ballot box that the future of our multiracial democracy is not dead, but very much alive.” Read our full statement on the SCOTUS ruling here: networklobby.org/news/42926-sco…

Food is a human right--not a privilege. Right now, more than 3M people have lost access to SNAP because of harmful cuts in H.R. 1. That means empty kitchens, skipped meals, and impossible choices between food, rent, and medicine. And instead of fixing it, the House Farm Bill (H.R. 7567) doubles down. Tell your Representative: Vote NO on the flawed Farm Bill and restore SNAP. Add your voice today: actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-y…

Since Trump took office, thousands of children are being detained by ICE—many in dangerous, inhumane conditions without adequate food, water, or medical care. We cannot let this happen. ✊ End family detention ✊ Stop ICE expansion ✊ Tell Congress: protect children, not cages

This morning, we gathered in prayer and public witness outside ICE headquarters—standing in solidarity with our immigrant community. In a time marked by fear, detention, and division, we chose to show up grounded in faith, nonviolence, and the dignity of every person. Together, we lifted up prayers for those impacted by unjust systems, for families separated, and for a future rooted in justice and compassion.

🚨SAVE THE DATE! NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION — APRIL 25 🚨 Across the country, communities are rising up to say: people are not meant to be warehoused. The expansion of ICE detention is accelerating at a dangerous scale—fueling an already inhumane system where people are cut off from loved ones, subjected to abuse, and too often, lose their lives. This isn’t about safety. It’s about a system that treats human beings as disposable. At the same time, billions of our tax dollars are being poured into detention and deportation—while families struggle to afford healthcare, housing, and food. We all deserve better. 💥 On April 25, take action: ✊ Demand an end to ICE warehouse detention ✊ Stand with immigrants as vital members of our communities ✊ Call on leaders to reject mass detention and invest in people 📣 Host or join an action: bit.ly/nowarehouseact…

Yesterday, people of faith came together in powerful solidarity for our common home 🌎 At the Multifaith Earth Day Celebration, we gathered across traditions to reflect, pray, and recommit to protecting creation—not just in word, but in action. In a time when our planet and our communities face growing threats, this moment of unity was a reminder: caring for the Earth is a shared moral responsibility. Grateful to every partner, speaker, and attendee who showed up with purpose and conviction. The work continues—together. 🌱

This Earth Day, reflection is not enough. Accountability is required. In our latest blog: Will We Answer the Cry of the Earth? by Drake Palmer Starling, we explore this thought. When clean air, clean water, and climate protections are rolled back, the most vulnerable communities pay the price first. Care for creation is justice work. The Earth is crying out — will we answer? Happy Earth Day! 🌍 Here's some words of wisdom from Drake Palmer Starling, our Senior Government Relations Advocate for Energy and Environmental Policy. All people in our country should live in communities where they are able to breathe clean air, drink clean water, and have a safe, healthy, stable place to live.

Thanks to YOUR advocacy and hard work, the horrible SAVE America Act is stalled in Congress with no signs of a path forward! 🎉 This is a win for all of our voting rights! This moment shows what’s possible when we act together📣. Now we keep going—to ensure every eligible voter can participate freely and fully.

TToday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to extended protections for over 350,000 Haitian TPS holders. These are parents, caregivers, and community members whose families are rooted here. Grateful for the bipartisan partnership is took to get this done. Ending TPS would tear families apart and put thousands of children at risk.

Black moms in the U.S. are dying at 3-4x the rate of white women. 1 in 5 Black women aren't receiving adequate prenatal care. This is a crisis — and it demands action. Rep. Strickland is speaking up. We must too. #BlackMaternalHealth
