Lots of things can be true at the same time: 1) The antisemitic attack in Manchester was horrific and must be universally condemned. 2) Antisemitism is rising across Europe and the West. 3) British Jews are not responsible for the actions of the Israeli government - blaming them is racist. 4) Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, as recognised by the UN and human rights organisations. 5) Israel is supported by powerful allies including the US and Britain. 6) Anti-Muslim racism is surging - just weeks ago, 300k attended a far-right, explicitly anti-Muslim demonstration. 7) Tommy Robinson is a far-right thug and is now welcomed by Israel’s far-right government. 8) The British government must not further curb the right to protest - it is a fundamental democratic right.
