A contractor hit an underground mainline fiber line while boring in the Grand Oaks area. Approximately 100 subscribers are currently without service feom this event. Our crews are on site and will begin repairs as soon as it is safe to do so. We appreciate your patience while repairs are underway.

UPDATE - Friday, 2/28 - Our crews will continue working through the weekend as we push toward full restoration. Progress is still being made each day, and we are steadily working through the remaining outages. We know it has been a long process, especially for those who have been without service the longest. Please know that our team is still out there and still committed to getting everyone reconnected as quickly and safely as possible.

UPDATE - Thursday, 2/26 - We are continuing to work toward full restoration and are now focused on our final 4% of subscribers. Crews are still in the field daily with extra help, and work is ongoing in the areas hardest hit by the storm. These remaining restorations are often the most time-intensive, but please know they are not forgotten. We truly appreciate the patience and understanding you’ve shown throughout this process. Your encouragement, kind messages, and grace toward our crews mean more than you know. We’re not done until everyone is restored. Thank you for sticking with us.

UPDATE - Wednesday, 2/25 - We’re in the final stretch. At this point, the updates aren’t dramatic — and we know that can feel frustrating if you’re still waiting. What we can tell you is this: we are still working. Crews were out all day today, and they’ll be back out again in the morning. Most of these remaining restorations are some of the most time-consuming. Many are individual drops, complex splicing, or areas that took the hardest hit during the storm. They don’t move the numbers much, but they represent homes and families — and that matters to us. If you’re one of the last subscribers still without service, please know you have not been forgotten. We are committed to finishing this, and we won’t stop until everyone is reconnected.

UPDATE - Tuesday, 2/24 - Most of the remaining outages are not simple fixes. These are the locations where damage was the most severe — mainline fiber rebuilds, multiple span replacements, and complex splicing work. In many of these areas, crews have had to essentially rebuild sections of the network before service can be restored to individual homes. Please know this: we are not shifting focus away from you. We are still working full days, bringing in extra crews, and pushing forward until every last subscriber is back online. The final stretch is often the most challenging, but it is also the most important. If you are still without service, you are not forgotten. We will keep working until everyone is reconnected.

UPDATE - Monday, 2/23 - Tonight, we’re at 94% system restoration. We know that if you’re in the 6% still waiting, it doesn’t feel like progress yet. And we understand that. This stage of restoration is often the hardest. The larger mainline repairs are mostly behind us, and now we’re working through the more complex, individual issues that take time and careful attention. No two locations are exactly alike. We still have additional crews on our system, working alongside our local team every day. They’re here to get every last subscriber reconnected as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience as we get everyone's service restored.

We’ve had several questions about crews coming to a home and leaving before service is restored, and we wanted to help explain what may be happening. Restoring fiber service after a storm is a multi-step process that involves several different types of crews. • Construction crews focus on repairing and rehanging mainline fiber. • Drop crews repair or replace the individual service line that runs to your home. • Splicing crews carefully splice the fiber back together. Some of the mainline fiber cables contain up to 144 individual strands. Each strand must be precisely hand-spliced at both ends — a detailed process that can take hours to complete. It’s meticulous work, but it’s necessary to ensure your connection is stable and reliable. Depending on the damage at your specific location, more than one crew may need to visit before your service can be fully restored. One crew may complete their portion of the job, and another crew must follow to finish the next step. Please know this: if you saw a crew in your area, progress is being made. Even if your service is not restored immediately, every step brings us closer. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we remain committed to restoring service.

UPDATE - Saturday, 2/21 - As of tonight, 93% of our system has been restored. That means more homes and businesses are back online, and we are steadily closing the gap each day. Right now, much of our work is focused on the most time-intensive part of restoration: individual service drops and final connections. In many cases, crews are working house-to-house to repair or replace damaged fiber lines and ensure each location is fully operational. While that may not always show up as large percentage jumps overnight, it represents real progress happening across our entire service area. We know the remaining 7% are waiting, and we haven’t forgotten you. Every area is assigned work, and crews will continue pushing forward tomorrow and every day until all subscribers are restored. Thank you for your continued patience and support. Staying connected matters, and we are committed to getting everyone back online as safely and quickly as possible.

Another day of progress for our fiber restoration efforts. Construction repairs are still underway in some areas, while other crews are restoring individual homes where mainline work has been completed. Progress may look different from zone to zone, but work is happening throughout our system. We understand how important your connection is, and we won’t stop until everyone is restored. Thank you for sticking with us.

UPDATE - Thursday, 2/19 - We’re grateful to share that 91% of our system has now been restored, and we’re continuing to make good progress each day. In zones where individual homes haven’t seen much improvement yet, our crews are still focused on mainline construction and repairs. Once that work is complete, we can proceed with restoring service to individual locations. We know staying connected is important. Please know our crews are working every single day and will continue until all of our subscribers are back online. Thank you for your patience and support as we get everyone back online.

UPDATE: Wednesday, 2/18 - Crews are continuing to make steady progress each day, and we are so thankful for the patience you’ve shown us along the way. In some areas where you may not see a large drop in outage numbers just yet, our teams are still focused on mainline construction repairs. We have additional crews on site helping us, and every one of them is working with one shared goal: getting everyone’s service restored as quickly and safely as possible. We truly understand how important staying connected is, and we want you to know that we are doing everything we can. We’ve also added some highways to the map to make it easier to identify the region where your home is located for updates. Thank you for sticking with us. We’re going to keep working until everyone is back online.

Our crews are continuing restoration efforts across our service territory. In some areas, teams are addressing construction-related issues — including replacing fiber lines on newly set power poles. In other areas, crews are able to focus on service drops and restoring individual homes and businesses. We are making good progress each day, even though we know it may not feel fast enough when you’re waiting to be reconnected. This is a detailed, hands-on process, and we are working as safely and efficiently as possible to reach every subscriber. We truly understand how important your connection is, and we appreciate your continued patience and support. We won’t stop until everyone is back online.

@thetigerchad I do not think it will be a month. Like you said, it is hard to give an estimate but we are making good progress each day. If you want to post your address or account name I am happy to try to look at where your individual account is in the morning.

UPDATE - Saturday, 2/14 - We want our subscribers to know that we are working diligently to restore fiber service to all our subscribers. Each day, we are making steady progress. Because of the extent of the damage, much of our restoration now involves going house to house without service to make repairs rather than reconnecting large sections at one time. Even with the additional crews assisting us, this work takes time. Please know that we have teams working in every listed area and will continue working tomorrow — and every day after — until every subscriber’s service is fully restored. We understand how important it is to stay connected. Restoring your service safely and as quickly as possible remains our top priority. We truly appreciate your patience and support as we work to get everyone back to normal.

@thetigerchad We were working with extra crews on construction in the area today. Mainline fiber has to be hung up on the new poles so we can start reconnecting homes.
