10/9/2024 06:00 CST #NETF1 deployed 29 more members as the Type 3 team was upgraded to a Type 1 team. Those additions have arrived in GA and have joined the rest of the team. NE-TF1 has been reassigned to #HurricaneMilton awaiting orders to support the needs of local agencies.

The Blue Incident Support Team and 2 NIMS type-3 US&R Task Forces. Arizona Task Force 1 & Colorado Task Force 1 along with 20 Canine Search Teams as single resources from AZ-TF1 , CO-TF1 , UT-TF1 , CA-TF6 , CA-TF5 , NE-TF1 , CA-TF1, and CA-TF2 supporting the New Mexico Wildfires

NE-TF1 has activated 2 Search & Rescue Canines in addition to Chief Thavenet - Command Element & Chief Majors - Operations in support of Hurricane Ian in Florida.

NETF1 Program Manager and Battalion Chief Brad Thavenet along with Battalion Chief Mark Majors have both been activated in support of Hurricane Ian! We wish them luck and we know they will represent Nebraska well!

NE-TF1 has returned from Puerto Rico safely! Repacking and getting back into the ready state for anything that we may be called to. Always making sure NE-TF1 is ready to serve!

FEMA National Urban Search & Rescue Program is deploying 4 Water Rescue Packages from Ohio, Tennessee and Indiana in Support of the Kentucky Floods. Additionally, a FEMA/US&R command element is also being deployed including NE-TF1’s Chief Thavenet.
