Tomorrow, the World Cup kicks off. Over the course of the tournament, 11 NFL stadiums will host 78 soccer matches on high-quality grass fields installed to meet FIFA demands. When the World Cup ends, many of these same stadiums will go back to turf despite 92% of NFL players preferring natural grass. If these extensive field changes are worth the cost for a month-long tournament, why aren't they worth the cost for the NFL players who primarily compete in these stadiums?

Shoutout to this week’s CMVP, @ZiggySmalls_, who’s creating opportunities inspired by those who shaped him. Last month, the @packers linebacker hosted a Women in Sports weekend in his hometown of Philadelphia to shine a light on women working in the sports industry. He kicked off the weekend with a women’s sports empowerment brunch, which featured a fireside chat with several sports industry leaders. The following day, the second annual Shelice’s Angels Girls Flag Jamboree took place. The young female flag football players had the opportunity to both compete and develop their skills. “Growing up, my mom always told me I could be anything and never let my surroundings define my future. So now, being able to come back to the same city that raised me and show these young women new opportunities, while reminding them that they can be anything they want to be. It really just brings why I started Shelice’s Angels full circle, leave things better than I found them.”

Congrats to this week’s offseason #CMVP @KJ_Osborn 🙌 In partnership with @godbehindbars, the @titans wide receiver visited Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute to support the facility’s first federal event, where inmates had the opportunity to reunite with their families. During the event, Osborn shared advice and words of encouragement to help inspire positive change for the future. KJ said his work is inspired by this Bible verse: “Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” - Galatians 6:10

At this time of unfathomable tragedy, our hearts are with Calais Campbell and his family. We hope they find strength and comfort in the love, prayers, and support that surround them now and in the days ahead.

This week's offseason #CMVP @KingHenry_2 for kicking off summer with purpose. ☀️ The @ravens running back returned home to host his annual Two All Foundation Community Day, giving local families an opportunity to come together for a day of service, fun and community building. Additionally, Henry announced the launch of his new scholarship program, providing educational support to students with financial need. This week’s offseason #CMVP, @_nickbolton2, is making an impact beyond the game. The @chiefs linebacker and the Bolton Empowerment Foundation partnered with the Popeyes Foundation and Feed the Children to provide nutritious meals and essential grocery items to families in Kansas City, helping address food insecurity and support the community he proudly represents. “It means a lot to give back to this community. Being able to team up and support these families is what it’s all about—just showing up and making a difference where we can.”

This week’s offseason #CMVP is community role model, Ray Davis. In honor of National Foster Care Month earlier this year, the @buffalobills RB and his Beat the Odds Foundation invited foster kids and their guardians in Buffalo to the Kaleida Health Performance Center for a tour of the Bills' practice facility. Through a partnership with Child & Family Services of Buffalo, Davis shared his own journey and provided them with a behind-the-scenes look into a day in the life of an NFL player. “There were times growing up when I was homeless, and I thank God for the opportunities football has given me. My Beat the Odds Foundation focuses on helping kids facing similar challenges. My favorite part about today was meeting these kids and their guardians.”
