Good exchange with representatives of the Standing Committee of 🇪🇺Doctors @CPME_EUROPA on health as a strategic priority, financing and the Health Package. We discussed the central role of early detection, prevention and innovation in strengthening EU health systems.

With Cyprus’ Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides, I visited the Latsia Health Centre to see how mental health support is being integrated into community care. It was a powerful example of what it means to bring services closer to where people live, work and learn. The Latsia Health Centre, operating under the Primary Health Care Centres Directorate, has achieved Platinum-level accreditation from Accreditation Canada – a recognition of excellence in quality, safety and care that puts people first. This commitment to international standards and continuous improvement shows what is possible when primary care and mental health advance hand in hand - and it highlights Cyprus’ leadership in delivering high-quality health services in local communities.
