Or is it more they made OpenSea a bunch of money on royalties...?

i am proposing to those in the nft space, that we ditch the word blue-chip which is used extremely lightly, and just start using a spectrum to rank projects in terms of trading risk

I agree with this, but it doesn't mean people are late. When I started my podcast in 2014, MANY friends and smart folks told me I was too late and that the ship had already sailed. The 100s of thousands of NFT smart contracts in 2021-2022 might seem huge now... (cont.)

@tferriss Collectors like myself value age. There are only ~30 smart contracts from 2015-2017 with NFTs in them but hundreds of thousands in 2021-2022. For the same reason we value them today, collectors a century from now will also covet the earliest collectible digital assets.

An original @mooncatrescue rescuer (claimed multiple MoonCats within the first 100) decided to wrap many "Day 1 MoonCats" and sell between .4 ETH - 3.5 ETH
Also some original 2018 rescuers have been accepting bids on dozens of cats between .4 ETH - .6 ETH
