Hon. Kago pledged continued support for the school , while Hon. Dr. Lekumontare urged parents to enrol girls, noting the school serves learners from Samburu, Meru, Isiolo, and Marsabit. The Funding is strengthening access and learning.

Established in 2018 through Samburu East NG-CDF, the school now serves over 700 students, with 90 percent of infrastructure funded through the Fund. Facilities now include classrooms, dormitories, the hall, and admin block.

Today, Hon. Gabriel Kago led a key milestone event at UASO Girls Senior School in Samburu East, alongside Director Festus Wangwe and area MP Hon. Dr. Lekumontare. Among the projects were a staffroom, a multipurpose hall, and an administration block under BPDP.

The team also visited several NG CDF projects including the Kabimoi ICT Hub nearing completion, Patrick Shimoni Primary School, Eldama Ravine Huduma Centre, the Eldama Ravine KMTC admin block under the Best Practice Demonstration Programme, and the new NG-CDF Constituency Office.

Bursary cheques were issued to school heads together with lists of beneficiary students. This step strengthened transparency and ensured funds reach the intended learners.

Learners in Eldama Ravine received a major boost after the constituency disbursed NG-CDF bursaries worth Kshs. 72 million to support students across the area.

Leaders and education stakeholders today converged at the Lornah Kiplagat Sports Academy in Iten for the inaugural Elgeyo-Marakwet County Elimu Conference, held under the theme “Collaborative Education for Sustainable Student Success.”

Today, the National Assembly Select Committee (NASC), led by Vice Chair Kassim Tandaza Sawa, met a delegation from National Assembly of Namibia led by Marlayn Mbekera. Yusuf Mbuno, CEO NG-CDF Board, attended as NASC outlined Kenya’s NG-CDF operational & oversight framework.
