"Oh, prostate cancer? That's the good one, right? They catch it early and you're golden." Well, in a way this is true, but the amount of times someone has shared this sentiment with me is mind numbing. Like it's a compliment, but really kind a smack in the face. Yes, Prostate cancer is curable if caught early. But it is also the second leading cause of cancer deaths among men and it's scary AF to get that diagnosis. I had my prostate removed. So, they had to sow my bladder directly to my urethra (TMI, I know). But, 10% of men have permanent incontinence. Thank God I did not. But, that was scary AF. I have to get my blood tested every six months and waiting for that result is scary AF. I had to have a catheter in for a week and that was annoying AF. I am thankful I am OK. Cancer sucks and is scary AF, even if it's "only" prostate cancer. @andre_tfw

Hey community, real talk..colon cancer is something a lot of us don’t think about until it’s late, but catching it early changes everything. Getting screened like with a colonoscopy or even at-home stool tests can spot polyps before they turn cancerous or catch it super early when treatment works best. Right now, guidelines say start regular screening at age 45 (or sooner if you’ve got family history or other risks). Don’t wait for symptoms, many people have none until it’s advanced. If you’re in that age range or have concerns, talk to your doctor. One quick convo could be life-saving. You’ve got this, take care of yourself ❤️

March is also Kidney Cancer Awareness Month 🧡 Not everything shows up with clear signs. Kidney cancer can develop quietly, which is why awareness actually matters. Knowing your body. Paying attention to small changes. Not postponing check-ups “for later.” Awareness is about being informed, proactive, and taking care of yourself and the people around you. And if someone you know is going through it, support goes a long way. Stay aware. Stay sharp. 🧡

These are the NFTS communities, I can't do without interacting or seeing them on my TL. NFTs without communities are like football clubs without players and fans. Building a community with organic content beats paid Ads over the long term I love these NFTs community, they are the perfect definition of NFTs. I believe there are none like them again and incase I am wrong drop in the comment. Because I am still searching for other projects like this but I haven't seen.

A huge milestone for science and women’s health! Mexican researcher Dr. Eva Ramón Gallegos and her team have achieved something extraordinary: in controlled clinical studies, they successfully eliminated high-risk HPV strains (including HPV-16 and HPV-18) using non-invasive photodynamic therapy (PDT). No surgery. No invasive procedures. Just targeted light-activated treatment that attacks infected cells and helps prevent progression to precancerous lesions and cervical cancer. Key highlights from peer-reviewed research: 💜Up to 100% HPV clearance in some patient groups after treatment and follow-up 💜Promising regression of CIN I (early precancerous changes) 💜A major step forward from Latin American science on the global stage This work, published in journals like Photochemistry and Photobiology, shows the power of innovative, patient-friendly approaches in the fight against one of the world's most common sexually transmitted infections and a leading cause of cervical cancer.
