We are engaging NPO stakeholders across the country, alongside regulators including @ThefiaU , the @NGObureau , @mia_uga of Internal Affairs, and the #CounterTerrorismDepartment of @PoliceUg Force. #NPOs play a vital role, but also face increasing exposure to illicit financial abuse.

This afternoon, we had the privilege of demonstrating #OCRAT – the Organisation Compliance & Risk Assessment Tool to the @NGObureau. #OCRAT helps NGOs automate and streamline compliance while enabling #Regulators to strengthen risk-based monitoring and oversight. In the next FY, government has allocated resources to digitize the operations of the @NGObureau In my opinion, this is a brilliant move that we have been advocating for a long time.

Question: Is the @NGObureau and @GovUganda using lack of compliance as an excuse to punish CSOs and NGOs? Are the NGOs engaged before suspension? Response: The suspension was due to security concerns and investigations are underway and soon to complete.
