Grade 7&8 students created 215 hearts to symbolize and honour the 215 Indigenous children who never returned home from former Kamloops Residential School.@CCRCE_NS

3S learning about the magnitude of 215 Indigenous lives lost through painting, conversation and mathematics. @CCRCE_NS

4B engaged in remembering the Indigenous children lost in Kamploops, BC. A rock painted for each child and connections being made to Indigenous knowledge.

Congrats to Shane Pitts, Vice-Principal at New Glasgow Academy, on being an Education Week Award Recipient #NSEdWeek21 Shane represents the theme of well-being in all that he does. He works hard as an administrator to help support all students by creating a restorative school.

NGA staff and students are rocking virtual learning. Tons of creativity in lessons and lots of enthusiasm in students. Also love that many parents/guardians get a glimpse of what our school does every day. @CCRCE_NS

Our Grade 8s participated in an Academic Decathlon - ELA and Math challenges, social justice sidewalk art, cookie bake-offs and spaghetti structures showed off how being “smart” and “successful” can look differently for different students. We all have our strengths! @CCRCE_NS

Mrs. Robertson’s 2/3R class learned about the Vale Quilters, a group that was formed in 2007. Myla Borden from @NNEC_Gryphons donated the quilt for the week to help them learn about the patterns and designs! @CCRCE_NS
