✨ Strengthening Skill Development & Textile Ecosystem through ITADC Initiative! Smt. Vrunda Manohar Desai, IRS, Textile Commissioner, GoI, Mumbai, and Smt. Lalitha, IAS, Textile Commissioner, Government of Tamil Nadu visited the Integrated Textile and Apparel Development Centre (ITADC), Erode to review its performance and assess infrastructure facilities for testing and training. During the visit, an MoU was signed between ITADC, Erode and INSKI Skill Private Limited for Sewing Machine Operator training, in the presence of the Textile Commissioners, to strengthen garment manufacturing, employability, entrepreneurship, skill upgradation, and women empowerment on a no-profit-no-loss basis for the Erode textile cluster. As part of the Ministry of Textiles’ initiative towards the proposed Departmental Summit on “Textiles for Global Markets”, a State-Level Workshop on the District Export Action Plan for the textile sector was organised in Bengaluru. The workshop brought together government officials, industry representatives, export promotion councils, and textile stakeholders to discuss strategies for strengthening textile exports and enhancing global market access. The programme was graced by Shri Shivananda S. Patil, State Minister for Textiles, Sugar & Agricultural Marketing, Government of Karnataka, along with senior officials from the textile sector.
