A long but lovely London day. Spoke at the 1st @DHSCgovuk Health Economics Speaker Series on our team’s work (& ROI of prevention); had a tour of the wonderful @RoyalFreeNHS seeing the impact of their population health work; and finished with a @CitizensUK catch up over juice(!)

Wonderful afternoon in Stockton, getting a sense of the regen plans and how health is featuring: covering a CDC, tech and innovation, workforce training, skills, and prevention and all part of the place-shaping. Thanks to @stocktoncouncil for inviting me up and showing me around.

A full day of meetings and a formal dinner start with this… Will be a rolled up sleeve look I suspect!

The @HealthInnovYH Strategic Advisory Board is always a good forum and @leedsbeckett campus looked stunning today. Enjoyed talking about health and the economy and how relationships will be central in making sense of the reform agenda. Thanks for the invite @richarddstubbs

Started the day watching Sussex build up a lead against Somerset (randomly sat next to Michael Vaughan watching his son) and ended it in a Seaford beachfront sauna.

Taken the youngest to Southampton, Watford and Portsmouth these last two years and he hasn’t seen a Rovers goal, let alone a win. Really enjoyed today (and spot us in this clip👇!)

@Lizzie_Smith77 The focus of @NHSEnglandLDN's anchor work on social finance and new forms of investment is a great example of what the region can do and in a way that helps local Trusts and other parts of the country. The Wolverhampton £ shows a local approach that needs broad buy-in but matters

Really enjoyed the second @NHSConfed Local Growth webinar today. I get the easy task of asking the questions. We had great presentations from Simon Evans @RWT_NHS and @Lizzie_Smith77 @NHSEnglandLDN on their #NHSAnchor work. Very different places but common vision and approach.
