@GreatWhiteJawz @StoolBaseball Define attempting to go to 3rd? So anytime someone takes a lead towards 3rd base, could be defined as attempting to go to 3rd. That is what this is a balk.

@StoolBaseball People calling this a balk are crazy. Yes 3rd base is unoccupied but the runner is CLEARLY attempting to steal 3rd. Pitcher has the right to throw him out. Learn the rules
