🧸Secretary of State @hilarybennmp discussed the cost of living with mums and staff @Actn4ChildrenNI in Derry-Londonderry. 👶 The Autumn budget contained measures to help families in Northern Ireland, such as lifting the two child limit to help 17,000 children in NI.

👏 Almost 28 years on from the Good Friday Agreement signing, NI’s community & voluntary sector continues to play a vital role in bringing people together. @springboardopp connects young people from different communities, and @NWCN01 works to break down barriers to participation

🏭 The UK Government continues to engage with NI businesses to deliver an industrial strategy that benefits the whole UK. 🌐 Derry-Londonderry company @Vertiv is a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, and recently announced the creation of several hundred new jobs.

Everyone has a role to play tackling misogyny & ensuring women & girls are safe. Secretary of State @hilarybennmp signed the book of condolence for Amy Doherty, one of 30 women killed in NI since 2020. He met @dcsdcouncil & @FoyleFJC to discuss their work tackling this scourge.

🏗️ Secretary of State @hilarybennmp met @Navantia_UK to mark the anniversary of its acquisition of Harland & Wolff's 4 UK shipyards, including Belfast. With UK Government support, it secured around 500 Belfast jobs & the Fleet Solid Support Programme to build 3 Royal Navy ships.

I utterly condemn the reckless act of violence overnight in Lurgan directed at the police, which forced dozens of families from their homes and put people’s lives at risk. There is no place for this in NI, and those responsible must be held to account.
